MISHAP TO EXPRESS
COLLISION WITH GOODS TRAIN.
NO SERIOUS CONSEQUENCES.
The Napier express from Wellington met with a mishap at Pukerua Bay, a small station on the Wellington side ot Taeltakarikij this morning. A goods train in the siding was thought to be clear of the main line, but the incoming expypss collided yrifch the rear end pf the van, with the result the engine of the express was partially derailed, a “Standard” reporter being informed that-two wheels left the rails.
A relief gang was quickly on the scene but tho train was expected to he delayed about an hour and a-half. It was not believed that any serious damage had resulted.
