GUN CLUB.
ANNUAL MEETING
The annual meeting of the Palmerston North Gun Club was lieltl last night, when the retiring president, Mr N. D. Stubbs, occupied the chair. Tlie annual report, which has already been published in the “Standard,” was adopted, as was also the balancesheet.
The chairman reported that the committee ,had, as instructed at the last annual meeting, considered the question of holding shoots on Wednesdays, with the result that several had been held, but the attendances were such as not to warrant the holding of any in the future. The election of officers for the ensuing year resulted as followsration, Mr ,J. Mounsey; president, Mr N. D. Stubbs; vice-presidents, Messrs It. A. McKenzie, C. E. Brown, L.'H. Collinson, G. Leouni, S. W. It. Evans, H. E. Best, W. Cook, senr., F. J. Swindell, J. Fifield and J. Donald; treasurer, Mr H. Best; auditor, Mr W. Hunter; secretary, Mr E. It. Bryant; assistant secretary, Mr Wallace
Cook; committee, Messrs F. Seivert, A. Thomson, P. A. Meehan, A. Cook, C. Podjursky, K. Thomson and J. E. Fitt; trappers,. Messrs C. Pegler and 11. Pegler; liandicapper, Mr It. Gray. A hearty vote of thanks was accorded Mr W. Hunter for gratuitously auditing the books of the club during the past year. The following new members were elected:—Messrs E. Trevor, D. Fraser, A. Clark, V. Cook, A. Graham, M. Ivearins, Weaver and Cohr. The following donated trophies and were accorded hearty votes of thanKs: Messrs N. D. Stubbs (value £3 3s), It. Gray (novice trophy, £2 2s), H. Best (£2 - 2s), J. E. Fitt (championship medal, with recommendation that it be sliot for under New Zealand Gun Club rules). Mr It. Gray and H. E. Best were elected delegates to the New Zealand Gun Cluli's annual conference to be held in North Canterbury next month.
