MEETING OF EXECUTIVE. Tho weekly meeting of the executive of the Manawatu Hockey Association was held last night, Mi- C. Aitchison presiding. CORRESPONDENCE. From tlie Wellington Hockey Association regretting that July 26 was the only date available for the proposed representative match with Manawatu owing to the state of its chaicionship competitions. The secretary iu- instructed .to reply, asking Wellington to arrange a more suitable date. From tho New Zealand Ladies’ Association staling that, in revising the territories, it was noted that both the Feilding and Manawatu Associations wero claiming l’ohangina and Kairanga and asking tor advice as to the true position. —Referred to tho boundary commission to decide. From Uuahtr.s Ladies’ Association regarding the NOpera Cun match and asking why its challenge, which was lodged prior to that of Feilding, was held over until after the match with Feilding.—Received. From the New Zealand Association stating that the date of the shield tournament had been postponed to September Ist and asking for entries. —Received. From the Nelson Association asking whether a team was being sent ■to the ladies’ championship tournament, which commences on August 30, and stating that advice regarding billeting required would be appreciated, l! was suggested that all teams play m registered colours with each player numbered in order to assist the press and public to distinguish individual players.—Tt was decided to enter a team and ask Nelson to arrange for billeting. GENERAL. The question of appointing a manager for the ladies’ team was hold over for two weeks. A committee consisting of Messrs Fit t, I-lostick and Clide was appointed to arrange all details in connection with tin, schools tournament. It was decided to write Wanganui and Danneviike asking for representative mate-lies to be played iri Palmerston North. The Feilding Association is to be asked to arrange a date for a match in that town. In view of the All Black Rugby game ail matches for Saturday are to lie postponed. Mr Harvey was appointed manager of tHo ladies’ teams on August, 2nd. WED.\r-ISDA Y FIXTURES.
