Par Press Association. DIAEDIN, July 22
At the inquest concerning the death of Mr Thomas Beattie Kirk, aged -12, a married man, wiio died suddenly last Wednesday after discharge from hospital, Billowing less than 48 hours’ treatment of a fractured leg, the coroner criticised tlie fact that the man was allowed to walk iroin tlie hospital to his home, a distance of 300 yards. In generally condemning the alleged
‘‘casual” manner of discharge adopted in this case, ho added Hint it was lortunate the medical evidence showed that the walking had no diract bearing on the cause of death, which resulted from a clot of blood dislodged from tlie ankle reaching the left lung through the general circulation.
The wife’s evidence showed that it took the deceased over an hour to walk home.
