Before a good house to-night, D. Clinton (Palmerston North) outpointed Roy Overend (Hastings) after a terrific contest over ten rounds. (’. (.'aim (Wanganui) was beaten on points iu a similar bout by Bert Brown (Palmerston North).
INQUIRY IN AUSTRALIA. MELBOURNE, July 21. The Stadium management is withholding George Waters’s share of the stakes or Saturday’s tight, in which Summon won from Waters on a foul, pending an inquiry regarding the latter’s alleged unsatisfactory display.—Press Association.
