The chief architect of the Federal Public Works Railways Department, giving evidence before the public works committee, said that Parliament would be able to meet at Canberra in May or June of 1926, but the permanent Commonwealth offices would not be icompleted till 1929. Provision was being made to house from 150 to 160 members of the staff, while 60 or 70 houses would also be built.—Press Association.
