IMPERIAL COUNCIL. LONDON, June 8. At the closing session of the mining Congress at Wembley it was resolved to constitute the Imperial Council of the Mining and Metallurgical Institute. The constitution includes: (1) Communication and co-operation between the constituent bodies throughout tfi3 Empire and (2) to foster and maintain a high level of technical efficiency and professional status, and establish a register of professional mining metallurgists.—A. and N.Z. cable.
