OROUA LODGE OF DRUIDS.
FORTNIGHTLY MEETING. The fortnightly meeting of Oroua Lodgo of Druids No. S, was hold last night when, as had been previously intimated by the sitting" Arch Druid, Bro. P. Elsmore, the evening was observed as a past officers night, P.D.P. Bro. W. F. Cutler as Arch l>ruid presiding over an attendance of 40 members. One new member was initiated and two proposed for membership. In respect of a letter from the United Friendly Societies' council it was decided to enter two teams for the winter card tournament. A challenge was received from the Oddfellows' Lodge. A.C., to a euchre contest to be played on the 20th inst. The proposed date being lodge quarter night it was decided to refer the challenge back for the arrangement of a more suitable night. The next meeting night being lodge half-vearlv night the business to come forward will include payment of contributions, nomination of officers and installation of the district president elect.
