LADIES’ GUILD BAZAAR.

After several month’s preparation the Ladies’ Guild of St. David’s Presbyterian Church, Terrace End, opened their annual bazaar in the Coronation Hall this afternoon. The Bale of work was officially opened by Mr J. A. Nash, M.P., the Rev. J. H. Bredih presiding. The hall had been attractively decorated with greenery and bunting, and the numerous stalls were laden with an imposing collection of goods. In order to sustain the interest of patrons, .a number of competitions were conducted, and Mr H. R. D. Mocre performed conjuring turns. The btails and stallholders were as follow:—-Tea rooms, Mesdames Raleigh, Allen, Robinson, McNeil, and assistants; fruit salad and jelly, Mrs Murray and assistants, including members of the choir; plain (swing ana clothing, Mesdames Sorensen, Moffatt, Poole, Miss Buchanan (Kelvin Grove) and assistants; fancy work, Mesdames Gilchrist, Ilonoro, Boag, Davidson and assistants; produce, Mesdames Robert, McDowell, Glend.nnmg, Braik and assistants; cake, Mesdames Bruce and Edwards and Misses Speedy, Buchanan and assistants; sweets, Misses Buchanan and Brett, Bible class g-r.s, End assistants.
