STABBED WITH SCISSORS.
(Per Press Association.) GISBORNE,ZJan. 30. Florida Muton, a domestic servant at the Oil Springs hotel at Whatatutu, pleaded guilty to stabbing Joseph Kram, an Assyrian, with a pair of scissors. The police stated that the Assyrian had passed some remark which aunoyed the accused, and when two hours later he went to apologise she stabbed him, medical attention being necessitated. Tbe accused stated that the Assyrian had made an improper sign, wind) upset her, and then the accused came to her room. Indignation overcame her and she pushed him out, forgetting that she had the scissors in her hand. Accused was fined £l.
