WEDDING BELLS.
SIMMONDS—HARRIS. The -wedding was solemnised at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church yesterday of Roy Simmonds, eldest son of Mr Charles Hosking, of Otaki, and Irene Winifred, fifth daughrer of Mr James Harris, of Auckland. The Rev. G. T. Brown, M.A., was the officiating minister. The bride, who was charmingly gowned in satin brocade and erepe-de-chine, with trimmings of georgette, and also wore the usual veil and orange blossoms, was given away by her brother, Mr Erio Harris, of Palmerston North. She carried a bouquet of roses and carnations. Miss Elva Harris, sister of the bride, was bridesmaid. She wore blue crepe-de-chine-trimmed with georgette to match, a hat of fawn and blue georgette, and carried a bouquet of roses and maidenhair fern. The flower girls, Misse3 Amy and Myrtle Carter, •of Napier, nieces of the bride, wore frocks of lemon silk with eau-de-nil cape collars and hats to match., Mr Arthur Hosking, brother of the bridegroom, was best man. The bride’s travelling dress was a fawn gabardine costume, trimmed with peacock blue, and a fawn tulle hat. After spending their -honeymoon in New Plymouth, the happy couple will take up their residence in Palmerston North.
