SWIMMING CONFERENCE.
(Per Press Association.) WANGANUI, Jan. 29. At the swimming conference, regarding the remit as to promoting interest in swimming among children in schools, it was decided to conduct a compaign towards obtaining a dehnite and regular grant from the Government tor swimming purposes. It was agreed to recommend to the council that a small troupe of swimmers and divers be brought over from Australia to tour New Zealand. A remit that the intermediate class be abolished and junior age raised two years was lost. ✓
