THE ESPLANADE.
TO THE EDITOH. Sir,—As & frequent visitor to your beautiful ’ town, and also a visitor to the beauty spot of Palmerston, the Esplanade, I have been surprised at tho inadequate supply of hot water at holiday tijnes. What is needed is one or two coppers with some one to attend to them. I think that most people would not object lo paying a trifle for the water and so reduce the expense. There is another thing that' needs attention; that is, a supply of drinking water at the Cook street end of the esplanade. I have at times seen people using the river water for making tea, and that is not pleasant to think of. -I am, etc., j R HADDON> 16 Waldegrave street. December 27, ,1923.
