ANTICIPATION OF SURPLUS.

PARIS, Dec. 26. the financial committee has submitted the 1924 Budget to tho Senatp, estimating the i eceipts at 23,950 million, and tho surplus at 568 million francs, and tho expenditure fit 23,382 million francs. The committee stated that the steady increase in tax collections were due to national business prosperity, and made possible a surplus. The Chamber of Deputies approved of a measure reducing the number of deputies from 626 to 591.—A. and N.Z. cable.
