STEEL FROM THE RUHR.
Gangers of. dumping. PRECAUTIONS BEING TAKEN. By Electric Telggr'apli.-^Cfipyrifeht. Received October 26. 8.50 a.m. LONDON/ Oct. 25. The Times’s Paris correspondent says: “It is understood that the ITetich Government has informed the British Government that it iV taking predautiops against the sudden throwing of the Ruhr manufactured and unmanufactured steel on the world’s markets. This does not represent a new decision because for months the dangers of dumping when normal conditions of trade with the Ruhr return have been seen. There have been, say the French, rio threats hanging over England or other countries of the sudden release of the Ruhr productions. It is not a matter of protecting Britain specially ; the principle applies all round. France herself is awat'e of the damage to her industries if measures are not taken to prevent flooding with between two and three million tons of Ruhr steel said to be under French control.”—-Times.
