FRIENDLY SOCIETIES.

The quarterly meeting of Court Hineinoa, A.0.F., was held on Monday. C.R. Sister Smith presided over n large attendance of members. Dr. Mackay’s resignation as court surgeon was accepted. It was decided to forward a letter of sympathy to the relatives of the late Bro H. Sharpcott, district treasurer, and a vote of sympathy was carried in silence. Bro. M. Rosanoski, who was appointed instructor by Court Manawatu, was welcomed by the C.R. An invitation to Court Manawatu's meeting on July 2nd was accepted. An appeal from Court Manawatu on behalf of a brother in distress was received, and a donation granted. The election of officers resulted: C.R., Sister A. A. Goodall; S.C.R., Sister p'_ Walker; treasurer. Sister E. Larnbarth; secretary, Sister Cameron; S.W., Sister P. Ward; J.W., Sister N. Larnbarth; 5.8., Sister’E. A. Fisher; J.B, Sister I. Hancock. One now member was initiated and one proposed for membership. After the meeting a shorn dance took place.
