The nominations for tho Rangitikei Hunt meeting, to be held on the Morton racecourse on July 4, are very satisfactory. Thero are 19 in the Hunters' Hurdles. 1» MakoraU Trial Hade, 12 Rangitikei Hunt Cup, 22 Heaton Park Handicap and d( Wairoma Hack, while the other events have filled well. It has been decided to give Redlogtie a spell. Imperial Spark, in tho same stable, is being kept going in view of forthcoming engagements, La Notto, which died recently at Upper Hutt, was presented to tho Trentham trainer, T. Quinlivan, by Mr E. J. Watt. Quinlivan has tho last of I>a Notto s progeny in work, in Dubious. Several rising two-year-olds m A. Oliver's stable are receiving the elementary part of their education. The ox-New Zealander Turangapito is racing at the unregistered meetings in Sydney, and had a run in tho Roseberry Handicap recently. Turangapito looked on the big side, and gave a lot of trouble at the barrier, but when they were eventually let go was first to move, lie made the pace for a while, but then died out of it, and was outside a place at the finish.
