MOASCAR CUP.

AMENDED CONDITIONS.

The conditions pertaining to the Moascar cup havo been recently amended by the New Zealand Rugby Union. They now read: 1. The school holding the cup shall do .so subject to the right of challenge by anyother school. 2. Any school meeting the holders of the cup in the course of ordinary inter-school matclies shall have the right to declare beforehand to tho school holding the cup that such match shall be u challenge match. Notice must be given to tho N.Z.R.U. in such cases. 3. All challenges shall bo forwarded through the N.Z.R.U. , . 4. All challenge matches shall be played on a ground within tho district in which the school holding tho shield is situated. Dates of matches are to be mutually arranged between holders and tho challenging school. 5. Whenever possible all matches shall bo played under the control and jurisdiction of the Rugby Union controlling the district in which the school holding the cup is situate. 6. In suoh cases when gate money is taken, tho reasonable actual expenses of tho visiting team incidental to the match shall bo the first chargo on tho nett gato. All surplus remaining after all expenses havo been discharged shall bo remitted to tho N.Z.R.U. to be held in trust as a fund for tho promotion of school Rugby football. The N.Z.R.U. shall not, however, be under any liability for any loss or expense in connection with any match. 7. Although it is thought desirable that all matches should be played under the control of the local union, schools have the right to make their own arrangements regarding grounds, travelling expenses and finance.

8. In the event of any dispute arising- regarding priority of challenge, the N.Z.R.U. shall bo asked "for its ruling, whiok shall be final. 9. No plaver who has attained the age of 20 years prior to the Ist May shall be allowed to represent a school in a challenge match. 10. "School" means any bona lido secondary school in the Dominion. 11. The Director of Education's ruling as to what constitutes a bona fide secondary Bohool shall be,accepted as final. 12 The cup shall belong to the N.Z.R.U., but shall bo held in trust for that body by the heahmaster_ of the champion school for tlTb time being. ■ 13. Anything not provided to in the foregoing shall be referred to the N.Z.R.U. for a decision.
