BRITISH BY-ELECTION.
WIN FOR CONSERVATIVE, LONDQN, Feb. 28. The Darlington by-election for a member in place of the Rt. Hon H. Pike Pease, who has been elevated ,to the peerage, resulted in the return of Mr W. I. Pease, Conservative, with 14,684 votes. Mr Sherwood, the Labour candidate, polled 11,271 votes,—A. and N.Z. cable.
