Mr McDonnell, first assistant at the Foxton Stale School, has received word of his transfer to a similar position at the taihapo District High School, and will take up his duties there at the end of next month. Mr A. R. Crowe, a wall-known guard on the railways, intends retiring from the service to settle on the land, Mr Crowe’s many friends on the Foxton-Palmorston North section will wish him prosperity in his new sphere of activity., ,
