ALLIANCE FORESHADOWED. CAPETOWN. Aug. 30. A Bloemfontein friend states that tho conferences between Messrs Crosswell and Hertzog, tho leaders of the Labourites and Nationalists foreshadows the alliance of the parties on the basis of mutual concessions, probably abandonment ,by tho Nationalists of tho independence movement for a fixed period, and tho dropping of the demand for a land tax by the Labourites for a similar period.—A. and NZ. cable.
