John Wesley's chapel in die City road, Mr Lloyd George made a pilgrimage there, lie visited the adjoining cemetery and stood bareheaded at Wesley’s tomb. Addressing a gathering of Methodists afterwards, the Premier declared that international misunderstandings were due to the Continental failure to catch the spirit, of Methodism, which had sent millions of our using men to (lie Great War. The Continental people always thought that war war waged lor material reasons. He declared dial it was Wesley's religious teaching that made this difference as war was regarded by England and America on the one hand and the Continent on the other.— United Service.
