SHOULD THEY MARRY? CASE IN AMERICAN COURTS. VANCOUVER, June 1, The Chicago courts have granted a temporary restraining order against Mathilde McCormick, to prevent her marrying Max Oser, a Swiss. Harold McCormick and Ins divorced wile, who is the daughter of J. D. Rockefeller, entered the court on opposite sides. The father is willing that Mathilda should marry, while the mother demands that the courts’ should interfere, because_ of the discrepancy in the ages of the parlies, who are respectively 17 and 42; and also because Mathilde would lose her American citizen- . 'l'lie father, replying to the mother’s affidavit, declared riches should not be a bar to matrimony if true love exists; that many persons of greater disparity in ages live happily; and that Oser may become an American citizen. The case is the first of its kind ever taken to tho courts in this manner, and is raising tremendous popular interest.
