PROGRESS OF EXPEDITION, GOOD HEIGHT REACHED. LONDON, Juno 8. In connection with the Mount Everest Expedition, Major-General Bruce reports that Messrs Movhead, Sotnervill and Norton, on May 20, camped at a height of 25,000 ft. The next day they reached 26,700 ft without using oxygen. They descended to the camp on Mav 22.—A, and N.Z. cable.
