CLERGYMAN CHARGED.
(Per Press Association.) DUNEDIN, May 19
The Rev. Edward Andrew Axelsen ap» peared before the Court again to-day on four charges of assault. }ir Hanlon, tor the accused, applied for a week's remand,; producing- a medical certificate which indicated a doubt concerning the accused's mental condition. It was suggested that Iho accused bo allowed out on bail, and become a voluntary mental patient. The police objected to' this course, with the result, that the accused was remanded for a week in the cells, under the observation oE the police surgeon. • •
