FRIENDLY SOCIETIES.
A special meeting of Loyal Manawatu Lodge, M.C., 1.0.0. F., was held last night, a large attendance being presided over by N.G. Bro. G. W. Kerr. One candidate was proposed for membership. It was decided to celebrate the attaining of £BOOO in the sick and funeral fund, and to entertain members of the management committee of the Wanganui district, and the soldier members of the lodge, towards the end of July. Trophies donated by P.G. s Bros. F. Mowlem and F. Hughes were allocated for competition at the forthcoming ©elebration.
