TERRIBLE INJURY.
IMPALED ON SHAFT
Eric Britton, a young orehardist, of Cowan road, St. Ives, near Sydney, received a terrible injury in a collision between a motor-bicycle and a sulky early on the evening of April ‘it). Britton was riding the bicycle along Pennant Hills road, Normanhurst, when ho ran into the sulky, which was coming in the opposite direction. Tho shaft of the vehicle penetrated Ids head near the right eyo and came out over his right oar. The impact was so severe that the shaft broke off, and two feet of it remained in the unfortunate man’s head. When Britton was examined life was found to be extinct. The two occupants of the sulky were uot injured.
