The advisory committee of the Palmerston North Hospital Board reported this morning lii.it, it had narrowed down the applications for tin* position oi matron to (lie hospital to two nurses. <>n its recommendation the two applications were referred to ilie executive committee with I tower to make a, final selection after mterviewint: both Indies. The name of the sncee.s.-liil applicant will be submitted to the Department' for confirmation. Sister M. L. Cmvcn, ol the Palmerston North Hospital stall, lias been promoted assistant matron of the institution, vice Sister Groi.g, resigned.
