BURNS-PHILP COMPANY.
SUVA, April 5..
The first annual meeting of the BurnsPhilp South Sea Company, Ltd., was held at the head oilice, Suva, to-day. The balance-sheet allowed a net profit of £102,845, and a dividend of 10 per cent, on paidup capital of £750,000 was declared,. and £20,000 was credited to reserve. The report shows that the company is strongly established throughout the Pacific.—A. and N.Z. cable.

11EREF0RDS FOR NATAL
(Per Frees Association.) FEILDING. April 5
Messrs Evans. and Miller, representing Natal farming interests in Feilding, to-day purchased from Mr Ernest Short four yearling Hereford bulls and five heifers. They also purchased from Mr Frank Moore. Wanganui, four heifers/ They stated that the hoof industry was advancing in Natal, which was looking to Now Zealand for stud Hcrefords. They promised a big development in this trade.
