DOMINION’S COAL STOCKS.

... WELLINGTON*, April 5. New Zealand lias boon obtaining Very free supplies of Newcastle coal and as a result the coal position.- is generally much easier. Heavy, importations ,of coal were made by the 'Railway Department, which it is estimated now has three to four months’ supply on hand. Inquiries show that 1 them has been a tightening up of export. At Newcastle vessels awaiting coal cargoes for Now Zealand ai‘C being subjected to unfortunate delays. It is apparent that Australia has decided to replenish its own depleted stodks before paying attentioiu to the needs of other'countries. It will be another three months before regular shipments will be. renewed. Altogether, the Newcastle position is very uncertain.
