ADELAIDE, April 5. The general elections will bo held on Saturday next. Tim issues are very mixed. There are four straight-out parties, Liberal, Labour, Progressives and Farmers, and besides there are a number of Independents in the field. There appears a probability of the Liberals being returned with sufficient direct backing lo > enable them to carry on.—Press 'Association.' SYDNEY, April 5. Dr. Hertz, Chief Rabbi of the British Empire, has arrived. He is visiting various Dominions in the interests of the Jewish war memorial, which aims at raising a million sterling.
