FISHER REFUSES'TO,JOIN. LONDON, ( April 3. In declining the Selection Committee's invitation to join the British Davis Cup team, F. M. B. Fisher (formerly of New Zealand) declares that bo has no confidence iu the committee, which had badly failed in its obligations towards tho game, British lawn tennis, ho says, is at. a low ebb, and will continue so under the present committee’s'regime. He describes the amazing blunders of tho last two years, by which failures have- been selected over the heads of men who emerged from a strenuous season with a succession of victories. He also refers to “cliqimism run mad while an incompetent- and apathetic association sits ns an acquiescent spectator.’’—A. and N.Z. cable.
