TENNIS.

An enjoyable tennis tournament was held on Saturday afternoon between the men of the Cuba street Methodist C*iuh and a team captained by Mr Bergersen, the latter being tho challengers. Play was very keen throughout, and resulted in the Methodist Club-winning by nine games. Following is tho order of play, Mr Bergerscn’s team being mentioned first in each_ case:Singles; Coulain 6 v. E. R. Harris 4. Bergersen 6 v. G. C. Harris 1, Duncumb 3 v, Newman 6, Loveday 2 v. Ashcroft 6, Koar 0 v. Garter 6, Davy ov. Baker 0. Doubles; Coulam and Bergersen 6 v. Harris and Harris 2, Duncumb and Loveday 6 v. Newman and Ashcroft 3, Kcar and Davy 2 y. Carter and Baker 6. Afternoon tea wys dispensed by (he ladies, and was appreciated both by players and spectators.
