DELHI, Jan. 28. There were few public vehicles plying, 'and most of tho shops were closed.-A, and N.Z. cable. MEMORIAL TO KING EDWARD. A NATIVE TRIBUTE. Received January 31 10 n.m. DELHI, Jan. 29. _ Tho Duke of Connaught in the grounds of the Queen Victoria memorial at Laicutta unveiled a memorial to_ King Edward erected by public subscriptions from tho peoples of Bengal, Bihar and Orissa consisting of a marble arch surmounted by a bronze equestrian statue. .
