Mr Lloyd George, accompanied by 50 officials, has departed for Paris to attend tho Inter-Allied Conference, which will really amount to a second Peace Conference, dealing with the most momentous questions for decision. r lheso include tho trial of the ex-Kaiser and his accomplices. It is stated that the British Government adheres to tho declaration of Mr Lloyd George that tho ex : Kaisor and other guilty persons must bo tried. Meanwhile, Germany is agitating against the surrendering of war criminals. . /Berlin is developing a society called the <l Save Your Honour League. Hie Berlin Government is being turgod to clely the Allies and to tell the* to come and fetch the guilty parties. It the Allies do, surprises 'are promised. v , The future of Constantindp e is another big question. It is hinted that the British may adopt the French view to leave the Turks at Constantinople, but establishing machinery for guarding the bhaits. Franco and England are now in accord about occupying certain parts of the iurkish Empire the internationalisation ot tnc Dardanelles and the institution of a new Armenian regime, but the future status ot Constantinople is unsettled. It is unlikely that the Ttirkish question will be discussed at next week’s conferences. The trench desire to hold the matter over until the now French Cabinat is formed.
