HOCKEY AND THE WAR.
FEILDING AND PALMERSTON NORTH AT CROSS-PURPOSES.
A brief passage at arms occurred at a meeting of the North Island Hockey Association delegates held in Palmerston North yesterday, when the boundary between the Feilding and Manawatu Associations was under consideration. Mr' Jackson (Manawatu), in urging a re-amalgamation of the two Associations. Haiti that during the war hockey had become extinct in Feilding. Mr Fitzpatrick (Feilding): Yes, and we Avon the war. Mr Jackson: "We helped to win the war too, iand managed to play hockey as well. Mr Fiazpatrick: It is all the more to our. credit. We concentrated solely on tho war. Other delegates interrupted the controversy at this stage, and it was allowed to lapse.
