Australian-New Zealand Cable Association Received January 7, 9.20 a.tn. LONDON. Jan. 5. The Russian commander at Odessa intends to defend the city'at all costs. The garrison has been reinforced and seaborne supplies are arriving. The civilian population will bo evacuated if necessary by sea.

The pursuit continues. HONOLULU, Jan. 5. The newspaper Nipujiji reports that heiivy Japanese reinforcements have been sent to Irkutsk to aid Admiral Koltchak.
