Tho Auckland waterijiders to-day at a stop-work meeting had read the resolutions, adopted at.the Dominion Conference hold at Napier. These, included representation on harbour boards with a view to the eventual control of stevedoring, and the inclusion of the Railway Department in future agreements, with, preference to members of the Federation. The conference decided to.ask a flat rate increase on the existing rates at all ports,. 6d ,an hour increase on all classes of work, treble overtime for Sunday,. Christmas Day and Good Friday, double rate for all overtime between 8 a.in. and 5. p.ni. and treble rate thereafter, when men work part of the hour the full home to bo paid for. For ordinary overtime theconfer, once asked ah increase of bd per hour on the present rates. . ■’
