iioKOWiirru summer championship. The first and second rounds of the summer championship were played to day _on the Hokowhitu golf links. In conjunction with tho championship a stroke competition was held this morning and a bogey competition this afternoon. Tho weather was ideal for play and there was a good attendance at the links. Among those present wore Messrs I. and G. Saunders, of Wanganui, and Messrs R. C. Kirk, P. Blundell and 0. J. Wilson, of Wellington.
