HEAVY WEATHER AND'LOSS OF UFE. By Electrio Telegraph—Copyright. Australian-New Zealand Cable Association. LONDON, Dec. 24. Gales are raging in tho Channel and tho Atlantic. Casualties aro reported, principally among lighters, a dozen of which have been wrecked on tho Belgian; coast, and several crows lost. An unknown freighter has foundered with ail hands. LONDON Dec. 26. The Deal lifeboat responded to distress signals last evening and searched throughout the night 'during the gale.' The crew of the lifeboat found a large quantity of wreckage, suggesting that -a ship foundered after collision or broke' up on the I Goodwins. There is, no trace of tho ship's i crow.
