SOUTHERLY WINDS—BAROMETER TO FALL IN 24 HOURS.

The Government meteorologist wired today:—The indications are for southerly winds, moderate to strong, and. veering by west to north, then freshening to a galo after about 24 hours. There is a prospect of fair to cloudy weather, but with increasing hare and cloudiness for an unfavourable change in the weather again shortly.
