DOMINION FINANCES.
A PROBABLE DEFICIT. (Per Press association.) WELLINGTON, Dec. 26. In the revenue and expenditure figures given by Sir James Allen it was stated that in eight month's the expenditure exceeded the revenue by £330,405. In actual fact, the expenditure exceeded the revenue by some three millions more than this sum. What Sir James said was that the increase in expenditure in the first eight months of the financial year had exceeded the increase in revenue by £350,405. Sir James Allen thinks that it is not impossible that the deficit of £3,300,000 will be overtaken before the end of the year.
