CROSSED IN LOVE.
MAN ATTEMPTS SUICIDE. IN FRONT OF THE GIRL.' Per Press Association. WHANGAREI. Dec. 22. Joseph F. Armstrong, aged 23, who had apparently been crossed in love, attempted .suicide at Hikurangi yesterday. Producing a razor in front of a girl he drew the blade across his throat, inflicting minor injuries. He then apologised and went to his room. His people, becoming alarmed, the police wore informed, and Armstrong was arrested. He appeared at the Wnangarei Court today. and was formally rcrtninded to the 24th inst.
