DOG'S DEATH SENTENCE REVOKED.
!ln an Uiiuaual appeal case at the London -■Sessions efforts were made to have the sentence of death passed on the dog "Bobs" r.t the West Loudon Police' Court . quashed. "Bobs," it was stated at the Police Court, tfus « ''ferocious animal." but hi? mistress claimed tl at ho way quite docile, and that hia only failing v\as a secret passion for picture palaces. Ilis case was taken up by the National Canine Defence League, who engaged Mr H. Curtis G. Bennett. K.C.. to plead on his behalf. The League received 20,000 letters and signatures praying for the dog's reprieve. Tho appeal was upheld, and tlio dog's life saved on an undertaking being given that it would bo kept under proper control in futur?.
