SUMMER CONDITIONS. , Palmerston North has had its first real touch of summer during the past six days, though the evenings have' been inclined to be chilly. The days have been warm and sunny. There has been a high barometer pressure for over a week past. The Government meieoVolbgist wired today: The indications are for.westerly winds, strong to gale. The weather will probably prove squallv and changeable; barometer unsteady, with a falling tendency.
