A terrible chapter of domestic tragedies was unfolded at Leeds Assizes, when David Hartley Ross (27), of Glasgow, a stage carpenter, pleaded guilty to having attempted to obtain by false pretences 020 10s lid at Bradford and to having forged a banker’s cheque for the same amount.
