DESERTER SENTENCED.
(I*B2 PEEHS ABBOOUTION.) AUCKLAND, Nov. 8. Gilbert Walker, who was found guilty on October 31st on a charge of desertion, has been sentenced by a courtmartial to 60 days’ detention. Walker was arrested at his parents’ farm near To Awamutu on October Bth after hiding in the bush for some months.
