TROOP TRAIN COLLISION.

(Paa Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Nov. 8. A collision occurred at Featherston station to-day, resulting in slight injuries to several soldiers and somewhat serious injuries to Pvt. O’Hara, 33rd Reinforcements, Three carriages containing soldiers on leave were waiting to be coupled to the train for Wellington, when a string of trucks attached to the engine collided with them. O’Hara was standing on the carriage platform and was thrown backwards against the rail, injuring his back. Tho camp ambulance was sent for, and O’Hara was taken to tho camp hospital. Another soldier had his face cut and others wore severely shaken.
