VENIZELOS MAKES ENQUIRIES. WANTS TO KNOW THE ALLIES’ INTENTIONS. Received November 6, 2.25 a.m. WASHINGTON, Nov. 5. Official cables received by the Department report that M. \ enizelos at Rome. He says that lie intends visitingother Allied capitals before calling a general mobilisation of the Greeks, as he. wishes to be assured of full Allied co-operation and agreement to furnish supplies. The message adds, the Allies are co-operating in order to thwart Germany’s endeavours to make a separate peace with Balkan enemies. The State Department realises tliat tho tremendous Teuton drive in Italy has created some unrest amongst certain Allied Powers in the Near East.
