NEXT SEASON’S WHEAT CROP.

- (Pee Pbebs Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, Nov. 2. A conference called by the Board or Trade to consider plans for dealing with next season’s wheat crop met today. The Hon. W. I). S. Mac Donald presided, and sixty representatives of bodies and industries affected attended. I Committees were sot up to represent 'different sections, with instructions to i go into details. Speaking this evening, the Hon. W . I). S. Mac Donald expressed himself as pleased with the admirable spirit of the conference, which clearly wished to overcome all clifiicultics nn<l place the scheme on a sound workable footing. The delegates had instructed the eommittecs to give the Government every possible assistance, and he was confident., therefore, that the Government would have the co-operation of all concerned with the wheat business, the Government was out to do its best to prevent an increase in the price oi bread. The amendments suggested so far in connection with the scheme were merely connected with minor points ol ! detail, and there had been very little | disagreement with the proposals of the j Board of Trade.
